Abstract

The use of interactive media in education has gained increasing attention as an innovative approach to improve learning outcomes. This study explores the development and implementation of interactive song-based media as a tool to enhance vocabulary retention in Arabic language learning at SMP Islam Faradisa Pamulang Tangsel. The problem addressed is the limited retention and motivation among students in mastering Arabic vocabulary, which is essential for their academic and religious studies. The purpose of this research is to design, develop, and evaluate an innovative media that combines educational songs with interactive elements tailored to the learning needs of SMP Islam Faradisa Pamulang Tangsel students. Employing a research and development (R&D) methodology, the study involved stages of needs analysis, media development, expert validation, and field testing. Findings reveal that the use of interactive song media significantly enhances students’ retention and engagement compared to conventional teaching methods. The results also indicate that incorporating rhythm and repetition through songs facilitates better memorization of Arabic vocabulary. This research contributes to the field of educational technology and language pedagogy, providing practical implications for educators seeking to adopt creative teaching methods. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating culturally relevant content to foster student interest and improve learning outcomes
